Japanese women’s wear brand JEANASIS by point Inc. collaborates with New Balance Japan for the third time to create special edition sneakers which will be in stores this February.

The standard model 996 made slimmer and named WR996 based in the color black and mixing different materials is the style of the collaborated sneakers. The color yellow green, a key color for this year’s SS collection is used as an accent. The shoes are sporty yet fashionable. The insoles of each pair have polka dot patterns and come with 3 sets of shoelaces (black, silver, yellow green). Retailed at 8,190 yen. Sold in JEANASIS around Japan and at collect point Harajuku and Okazaki stores.

The shoes brand New Balance was founded in 1906 in Boston as a manufacturer of remedy shoes. Using its knowledge of the anatomy of the foot, the brand began to manufacture running shoes from the 1960s. In 1972, the company was acquired by current Chairman Jim Davis, who implemented “Instep Racing System”, which allowed for the toes to move freely inside the shoes. Shoes using this system are hugely supported by runners worldwide.
