Creative company Rhizomatiks co.,ltd. presents its latest installation “pulse 3.0” at the Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media from Jan. 27th. This exhibition is series no. 15 of “scopic measure”, which features up-and-coming artists each time. Prior to the exhibition, on the 26th a live performance was held.

The latest installation brings together past works of laser beams, visuals, sound effects and robotics updated with new expressions. By using technology to the limit of human visual senses, their expressions broaden the ordinary framework.

Dance choreographer MIKIKO (known for choreography of Perfume) led dance company elevenplay’s dance performance, sound artist Taeji Sawai’s live performance and musician Ametsub’s DJ performance were presented at the exhibition space.

Rhizomatiks is a creative unit with members such as media artists Daito Manabe, Motoi Ishibashi and Satoru Higa. Their works with Perfume, Daft Punk and au’s TV commercial messages have become hot topics and are receiving attention from overseas media as well. The unit is also featured in the latest issue of the magazine, “SWITCH”.
