CG-ARTS (Computer Graphic Arts Society) hosted technology art festival, “MEDIA AMBITION TOKYO” will open at Roppongi Hills from Feb. 15th for three days. This is the first time the event is being hosted and exhibitions and live performances from various genres such as media art, visuals, and music will be available.

At the Roppongi Hills Arena, a hands-on installation named the “Physicalizing Data by Rhizomatiks” created by design unit Rhizomatiks using the popular techno pop idol group Perfume as a theme will be displayed.

At the Sky Lounge 1 on the 52nd floor of Mori Tower, a full version of teamLab’s animation “Flower and Corpse Glitch” will be on screen for the first time in Japan. From 8 pm of the 15th, a live event named, “MAT LIVE” will be performed at the Mado Lounge of the same floor. DJ TOWA TEI, Pierre Taki from Denki Groove, Editor in Chief of honeyee.com, Tetsuya Suzuki and CG creator Daisaburo Harada will appear in the performance.

Through this event, the goal is to create new culture that goes beyond the boundaries of genres and categories. Using the city as a stage for technology and art to flourish together, Japan sends a message across to the world regarding future visions for culture.
