From Mar. 1st, art director and graphic designer Koichi Tominuki opens his first solo exhibit, “Double A Side” at GALLERY SPEAK FOR situated in Daikanyama.

40 compositions (square-shaped, equivalent of LP records measuring 31.5 cm on each side) especially created for this exhibit will be on display and sale. Catalogs, T-shirts, stationary and other items will also be available. On the opening day, Tominuki will hold a talk event.

The artworks on display were inspired by records which had two sides. Working as a freelance artist these past ten years, Tominuki incorporates messages of his past works on one side and his personal messages on the other side.

Tominuki was born in San Francisco in 1969. After having worked for Sony Music Communications Inc., he set up his own company ROOTS, which creates music and film-related design including CD covers. He handles the design of many artists such as Suga Shikao, Taro Hakase, Emiri Miyamoto, Angela Aki, Clémentine and Chitose Hajime.
