An exhibition named “Handcrafted Life, Let’s Use Our Hands” in collaboration with MUJI and POPEYE magazine will be held from Mar. 8th to Apr. 21st at ATELIER MUJI, located within MUJI Yurakucho store.

“Up-cycle” a term used to describe the process of adding handcraft to old materials or unwanted goods to create one and only items is increasingly popular nowadays. The exhibit focuses on the possibilities of the “hand” as a tool in order to largely change perspective or situations. Through the exhibit, one can discover the joys of working with the hand and find hints to enriching daily lives. Workshops by Yusuke Kaneko, who is a creator of sign painting and a popular topic in POPEYE magazine, and GELCHOP, a trio of figurative artists and a talk event featuring Ryoji Homma, who is a stylist and owner of old clothing remake brand “2-tacs” will be held.
