On Mar. 22nd, Yukiko Hanai (designer Yukiko Hanai) presented its 2013-14 AW Collection under the theme, “Loulou’s Dining Table.”

The collection was inspired by Saint Laurent’s muse, Loulou de la Falaise who led a liberal and high quality bourgeois lifestyle and enjoyed fashion in her own styles. “I wanted to express the excitement and joy of dressing up today, when so many things intermingle with one another,” explains Hanai.

Looks such as simple designs in green and blue accentuated with gorgeous jewelry which reminds one of Paris and the latest luxurious designs with bijou buttons and fur appeared on the stage. Then, dress with checkered pattern adorned with black flowers scattered over like dots, monotone dress using keyboards as a motif, flower print dress and coat with flower-like contoured silhouette were presented.

At the event space on the 3rd floor of Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi main building, “Yukiko Hanai Archive Exhibition – Feminine and Elegant View of the World”, which displayed the brand’s archive collections from the 80s, was held until Mar. 26th. After the show, Hanai and the models who had just finished their runway show came to the exhibit venue and walked around from the 1st floor to the 3rd floor to visit the department store and event space.
