To commemorate the 30th anniversary of its Omotesando boutique, shu uemura will launch series no. 2 of its anniversary collection named “EYE-conic” from Jun. 1st.

The brand’s international artistic director Kakuyasu Uchiide presented the collection imaged after an “iconic girl” with a charm that turned heads when she walked by. The collection also pays homage to Shu Uemura and his first mode makeup collection “FLAGGY.”

Inspired by photos from those days, 20 items such as the 3-color eye shadow “Triple Color Eye Shadow” (limited 5 types, 2,940 yen each), retractable pencil eyeliner “Lasting Soft Gel Pencil” (2 colors, 2,100 yen each), a set of pearl and matte colors, “Duo Color Cheek” (limited 2 types, 2,940 yen each) and soft and smooth lipstick in matte color (new 6 colors, 3,150 yen each) will be in store.

Fake eyelashes named “Rainbow Sensation” (5,250 yen) sold only at Omotesando Hills, Isetan Shinjuku and Hankyu Umeda and mini eyelashes decorated with stones (3 types, 1,575 yen each) are lined up.

Starting with the Printemps Ginza store which was renovated and re-opened on Feb. 20th, the designs of the counters in all shu uemura stores will be renewed. “shu LIVE,” featuring visuals of top makeup artists such as Uchiide, “shu LASH,” lining up “Qee Bear,” Hong Kong born artsy toy bear wearing fake eyelashes, and “shu BEST,” which clearly displays bestselling items will be introduced at stores under Shu Uemura’s concept of an “open atelier.” This concept will be applied to the Tokyu Toyoko store to open on Apr. 4th and approximately 100 stores worldwide.
