sacai (designer Chitose Abe) presented its 2013-14 AW Collection during Paris Fashion Week.
The first look introduced a velvet dress and trench coat with an A-line back silhouette spread out like a cloak. Looks to follow introduced hybrid styles such as a khaki color cotton skirt with organdie inside the pleats, long skirt tight on the front and pleated on the back, and dress that looks like a combination of a sweater and skirt.
Gathers on the back styles of jackets introduced volume and hems featured peplum. Borderlines of down jackets were adorned with fur, and flight jackets and biker jackets presented a combination of checkered wool and knits.
The number of colors used was limited but the show introduced impressive color styling. Green checkered patterns were arranged with orange lace and a black leather biker jacket introduced a white collar. Volume was added to knits through the use of fringes and feathers to create a gorgeous feel. The items were presented in colors of white, black and red in zebra patterns and Fair Isle.
The 2011-12 AW Collection introduced in presentation style was the first show in Paris for sacai. This time’s show, being the second was presented as a runway show at Palais de Chaillot, which gathered even more overseas journalists and buyers than the previous show, as a sign of the brand’s popularity.
