To commemorate the 1st anniversary since the opening of Italian brand “DSQUARED2” Ginza Shop, the two designers Dean and Dan Caten visited Japan. Photographer Leslie Kee held a one night only photography exhibition.

At the event, Dean and Dan Caten commented as follows, “Since this shop opened one year ago, business in Japan has been favorable. We always receive inspiration from unique styles of Japanese people. We are happy that many people like all of you who gathered here tonight support our brand.” Asked which direction the brand will be headed for, the two designers reply, “From now on, we would like to focus on children’s clothes and underwear as well as swimwear. We are also interested in the management of a restaurant.”

Also, Leslie Kee displayed photographs of model Sumire, soccer player Tomoaki Makino, and actor Takumi Saitoh, who appeared dressed in the 2013 SS Collection. Leslie compiles these photographs together with the photographs taken at the venue of the Milan show to create the book “SUPER Dsquared (not for sale).”

Twin brothers Dean and Dan were born in 1965 in Ontario, Canada. After having graduated from Parsons School of Design, the two established their own brand in 1992 and presented women’s and men’s collection at Milan Collection. The two have entered into manufacturing and sales agreement with Founder & President of DIESEL, Renzo Rosso, along with Staff International Japan Co., Ltd., which is under the management of Only The Brave Foundation.
