visvim concept store named “F.I.L. Indigo Camping Trailer” is open from the 10th until the 16th on the 1st floor=The Stage at Isetan Shinjuku Main Building.

“F.I.L. Indigo Camping Trailer” is the first concept store by visvim, which opened this January at GYRE in Omotesando. The store lines up items designed by Hiroki Nakamura, who reflected his experiences traveling the world into the designs.

A camping trailer iconic to the store is displayed at both the Omotesando and Isetan Shinjuku stores. The one at Isetan (made in 1945) was specially ordered from the US for the event.

Designer Nakamura comments, “I wanted to express a personal side of the brand at Isetan, which is a large commercial facility.”

At the venue, popular items of the brand such as jackets with natural indigo dyes, vests made from old cloth of the Edo period, and bandana shirts made from vintage bandanas, and others are lined up. In addition to this, new items including T-shirts, tote bags and sneakers are pre-sold.

Under Nakamura’s concept of “I want the encounter of my products and my customers to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” most products are unique in that each item differs in design and texture. The original necklaces and bangles made from materials that Nakamura selected throughout his travels around the world are one and only items. The concept store straightforwardly expresses the designer’s creative world.

On the 14th, a craftsman who produces shoes for visvim will visit the store to demonstrate the Goodyear process.
