A solo exhibit named “Change” by the artist Fumitake Uchida will be held from Apr. 26th at GALLARY SPEAK FOR in Daikanyama, Tokyo.

It has been 2 years since his last solo exhibit in Tokyo was held. Using the word “Change” as a keyword, the exhibit displays acrylic original paintings, motifs created using PiezoGraph prints and introduces around 30 of his recent works ranging from small to big. In addition, some of the items will be on sale and his works as a musician, his latest work “ZINE,” three dimensional works and postcards set will be available. On the day of the opening, Apr. 26th, a talk event (planned) will be held and the artist himself will attend to explain about the exhibits.

Fumitake Uchida was born in Kyoto in 1981. He graduated from Kyoto University of Art And Design. Simple compositions, color balance and shadowgraph like techniques are characteristic to his style. His works cover many genres such as architecture, interior design, ads and package designs. This month, he will also release his first album. In the past, he handled the stage pictures for the musical “Take Flight” directed by Amon Miyamoto.
