Korean pop idol group “BOYFRIEND” debuting in Japan last August releases a photo collection book and in commemoration, an exhibit named “Let’s go on a date!” will be held from Apr. 26th at Parco Museum in Shibuya, Tokyo.

The exhibit reproduces the world of the photo collection book with DVD titled “BOYFRIEND DATE BOOK, Let’s go on a date!” (parco publishing). Selected best photos featured in the book, clothes and accessories that were used for the shoot, and private photos of the group members will be on exhibit. The book due to be in stores in mid-May will be pre-sold at the event venue. Original goods such as the “DEAR” necklace (8,925 yen) designed taking the initials of each member and flavored PALOMITAS popcorn (525 yen/420 yen) will also be available for purchase.

The idol group BOYFRIEND of 6 members debuting in Jan. 2011 has been awarded 3 awards for new music group in South Korea. The group consists of twin brothers Jo Young Min & Jo Kwang Min, the eldest leader Kim Dong Hyun, used-to-be child actor No Min Woo, lead vocalist Jeong Min, and main vocalist Shim Hyun Seong. The Japan limited album “We are “BOYFRIEND”” ranked no. 1 at ORICON ranking for foreign music. The third single “Hitomi no Melody” is on air as the ending song for anime “Detective Conan.” The group’s first leading role movie “GOGO Ikemen 5” is planned to be released this summer.
