Cosmetic brand AVEDA Corporation will host an event in Roppongi Hills to commemorate their 10-year anniversary since opening its first store in Japan. The event, “Aveda Beauty Lounge: Heart, Body, Aveda” will take place on June 1st and 2nd at O-yane Plaza from 10:00am – 7:00pm.
An augmented reality windmill will be set up at the grassy venue to exemplify the company’s proud business practice of being the first beauty company manufacturing with 100% certified wind-generated power. At the event, head and hand massage as well as a hands-on stage show by yoga instructor Shinobu Daikuhara will take place.
Since 2007, Aveda covers the power consumption of its primary facilities including the manufacturing & distributing facilities and headquarters in Minnesota, USA only by wind power generation. Also, Aveda purchases wind energy credits to offset the energy used in its company-operated Experience Centers and company-owned salons and institutes in New York City. In addition, by purchasing alternative energy option like wind source through its local electric utility, the company supports the development of wind power equal to their energy use.
The beauty company also hosts AVEDA Earth Month in honor of Earth Day to fund clean water projects around the world and is actively engaged in promoting breast cancer awareness and ending animal testing.
