Japanese fashion brand Miharayasuhiro teams-up with travel/business bags brand TUMI. The collaboration bags will be pre-sold from Aug 2 to 4 at Miharayasuhiro Tokyo store (address: 1F Gate Square 5-2-14 Jingumae Shibuya-ku). They will also be available at other stores from December.

The collaboration bags are made of Nishijin-weave textiles manufactured by longstanding HOSOO (founded in 1688) of Kyoto. The textiles are weaved with traditional craftsmanship, which shows the fabrics in different ways, depending on the amount of light shone onto them.

The line-up includes: carry bag (241,500 yen), backpack (126,000 yen), and Boston bag (189,000 yen). Each is available in 2 patterns- camouflage or python.

Miharayasuhiro first collaborated with HOSOO for its 2012-13 AW fashion show held in Paris. At the time, Nishijin weave suits and long dresses were presented. One of the long dresses was worn by model/actress TAO at the movie premiere of “The Wolverine” held in London. Nishijin weave caps and shoes are also available in the 2014 SS Collection.
