The sexiest idol queen and the most coveted face of the year, Danmitsu walked the catwalk of the “17th Tokyo Girls Collection (TGC) 2013 Autumn/Winter” held at Saitama Super Arena on Aug 31. She rocked the house in a mode & eccentric dress designed by none other than Lady Gaga’s stylist, Nicola Formichetti.

The runway that welcomed the popular provocative gravure idol is part of “WWD Special Stage by Nicola Formichetti”- a joint stage of TGC and Nicola’s “Pop Icon Project” designed “to find the next Gaga in Japan.”

The sexy black and crimson kimono-ish dress designed by Nicola sported his “Nico Panda” motifs and was arranged with a pair of boots.

The outfit fuses the Japanese taste with eccentricity and Danmitsu’s sexiness. Up front, the outfit is reminiscent of Kunoichi (female ninjas) and Oiran courtesans in a Gaga-esque way, but when Danmitsu turned around, the audience was struck by the widely revealing back which flaunted her eroticism.

Born on Dec 3, 1980, Danmitsu (also known for her real name of Shizuka Saito) is the hottest personality in Japan this year. She took multitudes of turns until she reached her true vocation as a gravure idol at the age of 29. For example, she has a teaching license in English, cooking, and even mortuary care- after she lost a friend and became deeply conscious of death. She has worked at a Japanese confectionary factory, been a hostess at a club in Ginza, and a funeral worker. In 2009, she auditioned for the Play Station game “Yakuza 4- Like a Dragon 4: Successor of the Legend” to land a role of a club hostess. In less than a year in 2010, she made her debut in gravure.
