Barneys New York launches its Christmas holiday campaign “Have a POP CLASSICO Holiday!” in collaboration with singer and songwriter Yumi Matsutoya. From Nov 8 to Dec 25.

The campaign is launched in line with Matsutoya’s 37th album “POP CLASSICO.” The store windows of Barneys New York stores will be themed after the campaign in turn, starting off with the Ginza store on Oct 8. The new album by Matsutoya aka YUMING goes on sale from Nov 20.

As the kick-off, creative unit XEROSEN designed T-shirts (9,975 yen) imaged after the singer and with POP CLASSICO written on them. Blue flying wings in the form of pop art were introduced to express YUMING’s success as singer, even after 40 years. Another type introduces a logo to pay homage to the photo exhibit of the singer taken by photographer Leslie Kee. The T-shirts will go on sale at all Barneys New York stores from Nov 8.
