Costume jewelry brand “Miriam Haskell” holds a pop-up event at West Park, on the 3rd floor of Isetan Shinjuku. Until Oct 22.

The event introduces parts of the brand history by exhibiting archive jewelry from the 50s and 60s. The jewelry is displayed on mannequins resembling Audrey Hepburn and Twiggy, who were fashion icons of the time, along with bags and accessories representing those days. The latest items from this year’s collection are styled to depict a certain age and fashion culture.

The brand has many fans around the world. The event introduces many of the brand’s designs, and it is rare for one event to line-up so many. Glass pearls and baroque pearls adorn the costume jewelry created by hand. Natural motifs such as flowers, leaves, fruits and plants bring out the delicate beauty of the designs. The jewelry can also be enjoyed on a daily basis.

The brand was founded in 1924. Designs by its founding designer Miriam Haskell were popular amongst high society and those pertaining to the fashion world. Top celebrities such as Hollywood actress Greta Garbo and models whose pictures made the covers of VOGUE were the fans of the brand.
