On the 4th floor of Dior Omotesando store (address: 5-9-11 Jingumae Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), an installation by creative director Kris Van Assche and Michael Amzalag and Mathias Augustyniak of artist duo M/M Paris is on display. Until Oct 20.
The installation commemorates the renewal of the Dior Homme Omotesando store located on the basement floor of the building. Artworks conceptualized from the 2014 spring catalogue handled by photographer Karim Sadli at the beach of Corsica Island is on exhibit. Abstract paintings in square frames decorate the space.
Items from the 2014 Spring Collection inspired from Art Basel held in Miami Beach are being sold, prior to the rest of the world. Limited edition wallets inspired from Jackson Pollock’s artworks are on sale in commemoration of the renewal. Priced at 88,200 yen and 80,850 yen.
On the opening day, Kris Van Assche and the two from M/M Paris visited the event. A reception party was held inviting Japanese celebrities such as models Sumire and Ayana Miyamoto.
