Miharayasuhiro presents collaboration bags and wallets with a longstanding luxury handbag maker of 70 years, “Ikeda Kohgei.” The bags and wallets will be pre-sold at a pop-up to be held at Lachic (address: 3-6-1 Sakae Naka-ku Nagoya, Aichi) from Oct 26 to Nov 8.

The line-up includes: Boston bag (168,000 yen), clutch bag (98,700 yen) and shoulder bag (71,400 yen), all available in two colors of black or navy. Two types of wallets- long (52,500 yen) and small (27,300 yen) are available in three colors of black, navy or pink. The items are made of lambskin and python, and are lightweight. Motifs of quilts and metal parts accentuate the designs.

In the market, leather from reptiles is mainly produced in Singapore, and 90% of the share is bought by two companies. For this reason, it is difficult to obtain high quality reptile leather. However, Ikeda Kohgei makes the most of its buying skills to import quality leather, an asset which remains with the company since its foundation.
