Fashion illustrator Hitoshi Kuroki will open a solo exhibit titled “fragment.” From Nov 8 to 20 at the Gallery Speak For in Daikanyama, Tokyo.

This is the artist’s first solo exhibit in Tokyo. The exhibit will present the history of his works consisting of approx. 40 works of watercolors and pencil drawings. The works can also be purchased, along with original tees and other related goods. On the opening day (Nov 8), the artist will hold a talk session from 6:30 pm. Free admission.

Kuroki was born in Kagoshima in 1978. He became a freelance illustrator, after working at an art gallery and as an assistant to figure illustrator Yukinori Dehara. He handles a wide range of works such as illustrations for books, CD covers, original tees, and live painting. He also took charge of illustrations and ads for fashion magazines including commons & sense, POPEYE and GQ.
