Alexander McQueen presents a limited scarf collection in collaboration with contemporary artist Damien Hirst.

The collection is based on the popular skull motif scarf, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. This is the first time for the brand to collaborate with an artist to create designs for the scarf. Hirst was a perfect match in that the artist draws inspiration from things existing in the natural world including skulls.

The items are decorated with motifs from the entomology series by Hirst including butterflies, spiders, cicadas and its larvae, and jewel and stag beetles. The realistic depiction of the insects fuses the skull motif symbolic to the brand on wings and body parts. A total of 30 designs are available in varied colors.

The collection is available in 4 textiles- chiffon, pongee, twill and wool. Available in 3 sizes- 90 × 90cm, 133 × 133 cm and 140 × 140 cm. Priced between 59,850 to 137,550 yen.

In Japan, the special collection will be available exclusively at Roppongi Hills store and the online store.

Campaign visuals created by photographer Solve Sundsbo and a short film are on release.
