Illustrator Heisuke Kitazawa or PCP will hold his first solo exhibit in Japan at Gallery Speak For in Daikanyama, Tokyo. From Dec 6 to 18.

Kitazawa’s artworks from the past 10 years as illustrator and other works will be exhibited. With the original BGM by Her Space Holiday’s Marc Bianchi, whose CD cover was handled by Kitazawa, Kitazawa’s latest series “Hikari wa Yugami” (26 pieces) with the power of lights as motif, watercolors, giclees and pop-up boxes (3D collaboration work with Shingo Yasutomo of Sanrio) will be on display and sale. Related items such as tote bags and books will also be available. From 2 pm on Dec 7, a talk session featuring the artist and Megumi Wakabayashi, editor-in-chief for WIRED as interviewer will be held.

Kitazawa creates unique illustrations with dreamy neutral colors. He is known for the package designs for Kenzo Parfums and the illustrations of book covers for famous writers and magazines. He designed the cover for “Hana to Yume” by Tow Ubukata and the supplement of Bungeishunju (2012).
