One Direction produced fragrance “Our Moment” will come to stores in Japan at the beginning of 2014.

The fragrance was produced by the group’s 5 members for their fans. A pink flower decorates the crown-shaped bottle cap. The bottle is a six-sided diamond cut bottle symbolizing the 5 members and the fan that purchases the fragrance. The sparkling and juicy floral scent consists of pink grapefruit, wild berries, jasmine and freesia.

The fragrance was first introduced this August in England, recording sales of 126 million yen in just two weeks. It became the fastest selling fragrance in the country. Launched in the US this September, the fragrance ranked 15th in total number of sales throughout the country for the periods from July to September. In Italy, it was sold from mid-September and ranked 9th for that month.

One Direction is a boy band based in London, debuting in 2010 through the singing competition The X Factor. In 2011, they released their debut album “Up All Night” and the following year, their second album “Take Me Home.” In approx. one year, they sold over 24 million copies. They are the first British group to seize no.1 on first appearance on the US Billboard charts. After their first visit to Japan this January, the group’s two albums ranked first and second on Oricon charts for foreign music. They sold out performances in Japan held this November. Their third album “Midnight Memories” was released on Nov 25.
