“AEON Mall Makuhari Shin Toshin” will make its grand opening on Dec 20 in Mihama-ku, Chiba. 360 specialty stores will be housed, of which 92 are new brands/businesses and another 92, the first stores in Chiba city.

Under the concept “a place where new interests are born,” a cutting edge mall which extends beyond genres will open. The 192,000 square-meter mall consists of 4 separate sections: Grand Mall, Pet Mall, Active Mall and Family Mall, which are connected to each other through the deck on the second floor.

Grand Mall suggests lifestyles under the keyword “play and learn to your heart’s content.” In the “Hobbies for Adults Zone” (first floor), Tsutaya Books will open its first shop in Chiba. Starbucks Coffee and JTB Travel Gate will also open within the book store. Bose Direct Store and Shimamura Music with studio and classrooms, and other specialty shops to spice up daily life will open.

In the “Premium Fashion Lifestyle Zone,” fashion brands and cafes catered towards trendy adults will open. Patisserie Ginza Sembikiya, Afternoon Tea TEA STAND and HOME & LIVING, and TOPSHOP/TOPMAN will open in Chiba for the first time. The shops- SENSE OF PLACE by URBAN RESEARCH, Samantha & chouette gallery and HARUTA are part of new businesses by leading companies. The new brand “LE JUN” will revive the popular “Cafe de Rope La mer” as an annex to its shop. In the beauty zone, shu uemura, Kiehl's, cosmetics select shop “Cosmeme” and more will be featured.

The second floor will house- H&M, MONKI, Scandinavian sundries brand “SφSTRENE GRENE,” the first shop in Japan, and other brands from the area. In the “Hawaiian Zone,” Honolulu Cafe, sundries shop “Kahiko” and jewelry brand “Laulea” will be lined up.
