The doll motifs iconic to Japanese brand “mintdesigns” will be featured at the event “mintdesigns Dolls Festival.” From Dec 18 to 31 at Tokyo Kaihouku of Isetan Shinjuku (2F).
The latest items from the 2014 pre-spring collection including cut and sews and dresses adorned with the doll motifs will be lined up. The popular “scissors accessory series” will also be revived for the event.
In addition, towels, blankets and other lifestyle items as well as accessories suitable for Christmas will be available.
Under the theme “happy people,” the brand currently holds an exhibit as part 3 of the “Philosophical Fashion” series at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa. The exhibit showcases photos of people from Kanazawa and Tokyo wearing designs from the brand’s archive collection. The overall concept is to introduce the brand’s designs into daily lives. The photos are taken in places such as an office, a store and an atelier that are close to everyday life.
