The iconic Stan Smith sneakers from adidas originals are back after 2 years and will be sold from Jan 15. To be sold at adidas originals stores and selected shops nationwide.

The latest version is designed with ecological leather. The tongue of the sneakers is adorned with the portrait of the legendary tennis player which the model is named after, and the silhouette is slightly slim in comparison to past editions. The three stripes in perforations and off white rubber soles have been reproduced according to historical models. The lining introduces soft leather for added comfort. Available in 3 colors: navy, green or red. Priced at 13,650 yen.

The Stan Smith model was born in 1971 and continues to be one of the most popular designs for adidas. It is registered in the Guinness World Records as the highest selling sneakers. The shoes were first sold under the name “Haillet” in 1965 and were later renamed as they were worn by the tennis player Stan Smith.

The version in green was sold exclusively at Dover Street Market Ginza last September and since, there had been rumors on the Internet about the revival of the model in 3 different colors.
