The Body Shop will hold the “Sakura Charity Project” in support of Tohoku for the fourth time from Feb 28 to Mar 31.

When one contributes 300 yen to the “I AM (a heart-shaped mark) Project,” which supports the senior people and the women living in temporary housing, an original sakura sponge made of organic cotton will be provided. The sponge is made by women who live in the temporary housing in Kesennuma, Miyagi. All proceeds will be donated to the project. Available at the 170 Body Shop stores nationwide.

Six items including Body Butter (200ml / 2,625 yen) from the charitable Body Shop Sakura Series will be in stores (from Mar 15, two exclusive kits will be added to the lineup). Thirty yen per item will be contributed to the I AM Project or The Body Shop Nippon Fund, which supports animals, the environment, human rights and earthquake reconstruction.

The “I AM Charity Knitting Class” will be held on Feb 15 at the Body Shop Shibuya store to demonstrate how to make a sakura-shaped sponge. Also, a day trip named “Kesennuma Volunteer Tour” is planned for April.
