The Hermes Foundation will organize the “Condensation” exhibit to introduce its project “Artists' Residencies.” From Mar 20 at Maison Hermes Forum of Ginza, Tokyo.

The exhibit was also held last summer at Palais de Tokyo in Paris. It is being held for the first time outside of France and the layout will be renewed for the Japan exhibit. Artworks by sixteen artists who participated in Artists' Residencies from 2010 to 2013 including the artists Richard Deacon, Susanna Fritscher, Guiseppe Penone and Emmanuel Saulnier will be showcased. The event is curated by Gael Charbau and will include a crystal artwork by Atsuno Kohira.

Artists' Residencies is a project which began in the summer of 2010. It invites young artists to visit the ateliers of Hermes situated throughout France to learn about the process of creating crystal, silver and silk products. Based on what they have learned, the artists each create a piece of artwork. Each year, four artists are selected to participate. As part two, the project will run for another four years.
