CITIZEN will participate in the international design exhibition Milano Salone for the first time. This year’s exhibit will be held from Apr 8. Through its participation, the brand seeks to appeal its products to a global customer base.

An installation created by the design team at CITIZEN and Paris-based architect Tsuyoshi Tane will be showcased under the theme “Light is Time.” Comprised of 80,000 main plates, which are the foundation of watches, a visionary space of lights and sounds will be created at Triennale Design Museum, the venue. Another highlight is the exhibit of a pocket watch from the 1920s to the latest model of a satellite watch. Through the event, the brand will express the present and future of its designs.

Tsuyoshi Tane is an architect from Tokyo. He moved to Paris in 2006 to establish Dorell.Ghotmeh.Tane Architects with Dan Dorell from Italy and Lina Ghotmeh from Lebanon. Having won various prizes including the prize for up-and-coming architects from the Minister of Culture (France), he is highly acclaimed in Europe and other places. Selected as one of the finalists for the New National Stadium (the main venue for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games) International Design Competition in 2012.
