Social commerce app “Origami” is retailing special edition items by the legendary brand that closed its curtains with the 2013 SS season: mastermind JAPAN. Dubbed “mastermind JAPAN Extra Collection”, the exclusive items number to near 200.

The big event will take place on Feb 23 at THE BLACK SENSE FESTIVAL- a fashion event sponsored by magazine “SENSE”. As a tech partner, Origami will release within its app the pre-sales of mastermind JAPAN Extra Collection exclusively for the event-comers. Only when the Origami app is viewed at the event space that the secret shop shelving special items appears. This sales method is being tried in Japan for the first time. To participate in the fashion fest, a special ticket included in the “SENSE” March edition (on sales from Feb 10) is required.

In addition, Origami is working with Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings for “THE BLACK SENSE MARKET in ISETAN” from Feb 26 to Mar 3. During the term, the mastermind JAPAN Extra Collection will be sold solely from the ISETAN MEN’S account within Origami. Other special edition items for au smart pass users will also be prepared for the event with business partner, KDDI.
