Japanese fashion brand “Muveil” will line-up its 2014 SS Collection for a pop-up at Isetan Shinjuku (3F). From Mar 12 to 18.

The theme for the brand’s latest collection is “Alice in Hawaii.” Drawing inspiration from Alice in Wonderland written by Lewis Carroll, the designs introduce a new story about Alice wandering into Hawaii.

Preppy-style knits, tennis wear, basketball uniforms, and aloha-style designs with motifs of the characters from the book such as the Cheshire Cat, Caterpillar and Flamingo will go on sale. Unique materials such as airy fabrics, specially processed sponges and leather, and vinyl are popular this season. Special edition wristbands will also go on sale (7,350 yen each).

Designer Michiko Nakayama will visit the pop-up from 2 pm to 5 pm on Mar 15 and 16 to decorate the products with original embroidery and bijous on the spot. Limited to 20 people per day. Duration: approx. 10 min.

The popular Parisian organic cafe Rose Bakery also situated on the third floor of Isetan will serve collaboration menus in line with the pop-up. Owner Rose Carrarini proposes the “Pineapple Carrot Cake” (550 yen), which has roasted coconut and pineapples in syrup added to the popular carrot cake recipe, along with the “Fruit Lemonade Tea” (850 yen), which tops the homemade lemonade with fruits. The two were created especially for the pop-up and will only be available for a limited time.
