The collaboration sneakers “Stan Smith Y’s” by adidas and Y’s will go on sale worldwide in limited numbers.

The special model is part 5 of the “Consortium Stan Smith Collaboration Pack,” a project inviting five designers/brands from Asia to customize the popular Stan Smith sneakers. Y’s designer Yohji Yamamoto has already been working with adidas for over ten years for the brand “Y-3.” The model designed by Y’s uses special materials while maintaining the silhouette of the Stan Smiths. The sides of the upper introduce thick navy canvas, and the eyestay and heel tab introduce gray suede. White smooth leather is used for the toe box and tongue. The three stripes on the sides are hand-stitched with zigzag patterns, the threads of which are draped onto the design. The Stan Smith logo decorates the heel tab and the Y’s logo the tongue.

In Japan, the sneakers will go on sale from Mar 15 at Y’s stores, Styles Daikanyama, mita sneakers, UNDEFEATED Tokyo and Shizuoka, and VA. Priced at 18,900 yen.
