PLEATS PLEASE ISSEY MIYAKE presents a new collaboration series with graphic designer Kazumasa Nagai.

The collaboration kicked off after designer Issey Miyake saw the works of Nagai at a solo exhibit. A total of three collections dubbed “Life,” “Life Joy,” and “Life Bounce” introducing motifs from Nagai’s “Life” poster series are in store. Cute and colorful drawings of animals with touches of humor adorn the brand’s designs. Dresses (29,000 yen to 34,000 yen), tops, pants, bags (18,000 yen to 25,000 yen) and scarves are included in the lineup.

The series will also be exhibited at the “Kazumasa Nagai Poster Life 1957-2014” exhibit to open at The Museum of Modern Art, Toyama from Apr 19. A part of the series will go on sale at the museum shop. In addition, a special website with information on the exhibit and each of the designs has been launched.
