A remix of the theme song “Last Night, Good Night (Re:Dialed)” for contemporary artist Takashi Murakami’s debut film “Jellyfish Eyes” has been released. The remix was handled by Pharrell Williams, and the direction of the music video was handled by Murakami himself.
The science fiction fantasy film, which was released last year, fuses CG with live action. The film is currently touring eight cities in the US; Dallas, Boston, Seattle, Washington D.C., Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco.
In line with the US tour, which includes glamorous venues such as the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles and the Lincoln Center in New York, Murakami asked his good friend Williams to handle the remix of the theme song. The music video introduces Hatsune Miku along with animations of kz of livetune, Williams and Murakami.
