Japanese brand mintdesigns holds an exhibit showcasing its collaboration collection with masking tape brand “mt.” Open until Sept 11 at Creation Gallery G8 in Ginza, Tokyo (address: 1F Recruit Ginza 8 Bldg. 8-4-17 Ginza, Chuo-ku).

At the venue, masking tape from “mt” designed in collaboration with illustrators Mizumaru Anzai, Ed Emberley, Philippe Weisbecker, Paul Cox and Tadanori Yokoo is being sold. Priced between 360 and 630 yen. A corner to design your own pin badge (300 yen) with masking tape is also available.

“mt” is a brand by Kamoi Kakoshi Co., Ltd., a company founded in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture in 1923. The brand debuted in 2008 with a collection of masking tape in 20 different colors. The debut collection was awarded the Good Design Award the same year. Up until now, the brand has teamed up with many designers and fashion brands including mina perhonen and Lisa Larson to create over 200 designs of masking tape.
