Jun Takahashi of UNDERCOVER and Nike’s ongoing collaboration introduces the Gyakusou Holiday 2014 Collection. On sale from Oct 23.

The collection presents running uniforms with innovations by Nike Running and Research Lab and tested by Takahashi and his GIRA running crew.

Upon designing the uniforms, Takahashi came up with ideas for suitable running wear that could work 1,000 years from now. He made sure that the designs had enough pockets to hold items such as house keys, train pass and small change.

The Men’s Utility Long Tights, which combines running shorts and tights in one, are loose-fitting around the hip and slim-fitting around the legs to provide optimal support.

The Engineered Sleeve Composite Jacket available for both men and women is made with composite Storm-FIT that provides weather protection, whereas the sleeves and neck are formed from an engineered knit that allows for mobility and adapts to the arm in motion. Laser-cut and concealed-zip hand pockets as well as laser-perforated underarm ventilation and laser-cut Gyakusou logo placed vertically along the back acting as an exhaust system to release body heat are highlights of the design.

Along with the jacket, the men’s and women’s Dri-FIT Sweat Map Long-Sleeve Tops and Dri-FIT Sweat Map Short-Sleeve Tops are lined up. Originally introduced in the Gyakusou Spring 2014 Collection, the performance shirts knit Nike Sweat Map ventilation into an engineered jacquard fabric to provide aeration where body temperature is the highest.

The Holiday Collection will be sold at NikeLab stores and on nike.com/nikelab.
