Japanese fashion brand “ato” will debut its new accessories line “A.” The naming is derived from the first letter of the brand name “ato” and the word “apostle.”
Leather accessories such as bags and wallets named after the twelve apostles of the Bible will constitute “A," where washable leather and soft nubuck take after the characteristics of “ato.”
For the debut season, six items in beige/black named after the apostles “John” (big clutch bag 68,000 yen), “Matthew” (tote bag 48,000 yen), “James” (clutch bag 32,000 yen), “Peter” (clutch bag 32,000 yen), “Andrew” (wallet 28,000 yen) and “Simon” (coin purse 18,000 yen) will go on sale. The brand will present new colors and designs under the names of the twelve apostles each season.
Its first appearance will be made on Nov 28 at ato’s Aoyama store and then at Isetan Shinjuku Men’s Building on Dec 3. Lineups at other stores will start in 2015.
