Undercover presented its 2015-16 A/W collection under the theme “Hurt.” In line with this, guests of the show received invitations illustrated with cut injuries. This season, designer Jun Takahashi created a collection of garments full of dark elements, which brilliantly reflected the theme.
Knits were cut up using switches of different fabrics, and tailored jackets, blouses, trousers and coats were designed with random darts placed to look like fissures. A white coat resembling a doctor’s white uniform was embroidered with a picture of a knife on the chest. Pants were also designed with slits and designed using a combination of different materials such as satin and chiffon.
A series of long skirts and dresses printed with Michael Borremans’ work helped to bring the overall collection together. To go with the designs, the models wore transparent masks and created an eerie world.
A heat-processed PVC jacket with a texture similar to tortoise shells was completed with a lucid wound. For the finale, black and white evening wear with details resembling cracks, suits adorned with fragments and coats were presented.
