This fall, Ginza Mitsukoshi department store will open a new section dedicated to duty free products. In preparation for this big project, all floors of the department store will undergo renovations in turns.

The jewelry and accessories area located on the first floor was the first to go through a transformation, which was unveiled on Aug 12. Previously, jewelry and accessories were being lined up on separate floors, making the new area more convenient for customers.

“Many of the shoppers come to Ginza in search of bridal items. That’s why we combined the jewelry and accessories section, making it easier and more fun for customers to find what they are looking for. We also have an attendant specializing in bridal jewelry on the floor for assistance,” explained an Isetan Mitsukoshi buyer.

Among the lineup are items from Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, Ahkah, Vendome Aoyama, Festaria Bijou Sophia, Niessing, Ponte Vecchio and Royal Asscher Diamond.

In commemoration of the renewal of the jewelry and accessories area, Vendome Aoyama presented 15 platinum diamond necklaces (120,000 yen each), Ponte Vecchio, a necklace decorated with rubies and diamonds (120,000 yen) and Festaria Bijou Sophia, 5 sets of a necklace and a ring (150,000 yen/set). Four sets of a necklace and a jewelry case (46,000 yen/set) were also made available from 4 degrees C.
