On Sept 30, the select shop “Mixury” opened on the M5 floor of Ginza Mitsukoshi department store.

The concept of the recently remodeled M5 floor is a “luxury salon for refined and beautiful women”. The floor is different from the 3rd and 4th floors of Ginza Mitsukoshi, which also underwent renewals and reemerged as shopping floors suitable for international travelers, in that it is targeted towards women, who either live or work in the Ginza area.

Mixury places importance on lining up items that its customers can fall in love with on the spot. “Our customers like to purchase items based on their instincts rather than based on the brand name or for a certain situation. That’s why we tried to select products, which are extraordinary at Mixury,” explained the floor’s buyer.

The lineup of brands at Mixury includes private labels, M Fil, Sofie D’Hoore, Keita Maruyama, Vous Etes, Secret Closet and more. The private brands of Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings offer a large selection of fashionable items that focus on the beauty of patterns, materials and design.

The clothing created by Isetan Mitsukoshi’s private brands is available in many sizes, designed to fit the proportions of Japanese women. As a result of the concept of the floor, many of the other brands available at Mixury are also domestic.

Two large tables and chairs are set up on the approx. 100 square meter floor to allow customers to gaze the entire floor while they decide on what to purchase. True to its concept, the M5 floor serves its purpose of providing high quality daily wear to Japanese customers that frequent Ginza.
