On Mar 2, members of Japanese idol group Nogizaka46, Mai Shiraishi, Nanase Nishino, Erika Ikuta, Reika Sakurai, Marika Ito and Yumi Wakatsuki, gathered at Isetan Shinjuku department store for the opening of the collaboration project “Okeiko Girl”. Close to 100 fans lined up in front of Isetan to attend the launch.
Fashion Headline followed the making of the short movie created for Okeiko Girl, photographing behind-the-scene images of the Nogizaka46 members. Some of the members were seen playing the piano, while others practiced ballet dance moves. Shiraishi, a big fan of cooking, designed an apron in collaboration with Isetan and filmed cooking scenes for the movie. Nishino was seen making sketches of the character named Doiya-san, which she designed.
Aside from a few of the accessories featured in the film, the Nogizaka46 members wore costumes they each created with fashion brands being sold at the shop space Isetan Girl. Nishino commented that she did not realize how much time and effort is put when designing textiles.
The extended version of the movie is being screened at Isetan Girl, located on the second floor of Isetan Shinjuku department store. The shop space is decorated with messages written by the Nogizaka46 members.
