In celebration of its 130th anniversary, Isetan Shinjuku department store collaborated with Japanese fashion brand Samantha Thavasa. On Mar 16, a fashion show was held at Isetan Shinjuku after business hours to kick off the collaboration event, welcoming none other than Miranda Kerr as a special guest. The show presented Samantha Thavasa’s latest bag collection including items that were designed with Kerr.
The limited collaboration event, open at Isetan Shinjuku until Mar 22, was produced by Japanese creator Daichi Miura, who also recently collaborated with the newly launched brand “The Flower Stand Keita Maruyama”, sold exclusively at Isetan Mitsukoshi stores. For the event, Miura decorated the first to six floors of Isetan Shinjuku under the theme “Dream”.
Using the Dream theme, collaboration items designed with Miranda Kerr, Anne Nakamura, Takahiro of the music group Exile, Dresscamp designer Toshikazu Iwaya and more are lined up on the first floor of Isetan Shinjuku.
The second floor presents the debut collection of the apparel brand “Tu L’Est”, and the sixth floor showcases items from “Dream Samantha Kids”, both new brands launched by Samantha Thavasa. The fifth floor lines up items produced by stylist Michiko Yamawaki under the brand name “Dream Samantha Room”.
